The Arab American University renewed the joint cooperation agreement with the Information Technology Syndicate in Palestine, as part of enhancing ongoing cooperation with Palestinian institutions.
The agreement aims to exchange expertise, conduct joint research and studies, and hold activities and workshops that contribute to raising the level of technological and technical education and training in Palestine.
During the reception of the Syndicate delegation at the University campus in Ramallah, Dr. Yousef Asfour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab American University, stressed that AAUP has a clear and pioneering vision to provide advanced education in Palestine. He also stressed the University’s keenness to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in Palestinian society by providing students with the skills that enable them to innovate and lead in the advanced digital world.
In turn, Dr. Bara Asfour, Acting President of the Arab American University, explained the importance of this partnership in achieving the University’s goals of developing technological education in Palestine, saying: “Renewing the agreement with the Information Technology Syndicate is a strategic step towards enhancing our interaction with various professional sectors. We, at AAUP, believe that exchanging expertise and holding joint activities contributes to equipping students with the latest skills that qualify them to succeed in the local and international labor market.”
He added, “We will continue to provide innovative educational programs that contribute to developing students' skills and preparing them for the labor market and using the latest technological methods to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure their success in the local, regional and international labor market.”
For her part, Dr. Maysoun Ibrahim, Head of the Information Technology Syndicate, praised the renewal of the agreement, saying: "We are proud of our ongoing cooperation with the Arab American University, which continues to provide the latest methods of technological education, and that the joint cooperation between the Syndicate and the University opens new horizons to enhance the role of information technology in Palestine, and contributes to qualifying a generation of specialists capable of facing technological challenges in the world."
She added that the Syndicate was established as a professional legal institution that aims to advance the development of the field of information technology and communications in Palestine, and continues its efforts to enhance the position of technology in Palestinian society.
